The 12th Annual Big Andrew Surf Contest will take place this year at Long Sands Beach on Sunday, September 1st, 2019!
Registration starts at 6:30 AM to the left of the Long Sands Beach bath house, with the first heat starting at 7:00 AM. Lunch will be provided to all registered contestants and there will be a grill tent to serve spectators of the event. Throughout the contest, there will be a raffle with gifts provided by our many generous sponsors and local businesses.
At the end of the day, there will be an awards ceremony for surfers and the division winners, after which the winners of the raffle will be announced. Finally, a celebratory paddle-out will take place in honor of the organization's namesake, Andrew Gmelch.
All proceeds from the event benefit members of the Big Andrew Hospital Network.
